This is another thing people told me would happen after the birth of child number one: you fight more. Ok, so I was prepared. But tell me, have any of you ever started a fight with the following statement:
If we get a divorce, I get full custody of Noah.
It was a harmless joke at first, which then escalated into some awful nit picking and hurt feelings. I told him that there is no way he could take care of the baby because he can barely sit still long enough to feed the kid a bottle. To which he replied, "I can heat up a bottle." "Yah, but you can't clean it afterwards. My kid will live in squalor."
And so it went on and ended with me not speaking to him.
I called him later that afternoon and said, "I'm sitting here laughing because our fight this morning has got to be the stupidest thing we ever fought about in the history of our relationship. We aren't even planning a divorce, nor are we close to a divorce, so WHY were we fighting over custody of our son?"
Seriously! How ridiculous.

HAHAHAH nothing like those nonsense spats to spice up the hum drum life of a new mommy....LOL It is so nice to know you are not the only one who does it LOL
LOL I can't even tell you how many times my husband, Jamie, and I have had this fight, or one similar. Especially since he has been away for 2 six month periods to Afghanistan since we've lived together, both of us home with the baby now have been at each other! It's goo dto know we aren't teh only ones either, lol

My now favorite line to give to Joe is, "You better be good to me now (that I'm having quads) because you certainly can't afford the child support payments"
LOLOLOLOL doesn't matter what we are talking about it makes us crack up.
That's hilarious Christa. He can't afford the child support payments for 5 babies. LOL TOO FUNNY.
Most of our fights stem from either money or kids. It's terrible... we never fight about the foolish things we used to fight about. LOL Now it's usually about the kids... Ohh well.
Aww, good luck!!! I remember the first night Maddie slept in her room, in her crib, it was sad, liberating and scary all at once. I mean after all, my baby is growing up... *sniff, sniff* :)
